I purchased the Graves at Angel Brook (Quigg3) written by Tim Ellis because I have read ALL of his books thus far. I have to admit that Quigg and his ladies(?) take up too much time in the books. Perhaps it's my age, but when I read a mystery {especially once about pedophiles}, I'm rather out of the mood to even think about sex, much less read about it to such a degree as is written about in these books concerning DI Quigg. Otherwise, I find most of the stories intriguing, and of a subject matter that at this time in America, or parts of America, pedophilia seems to be on the rise, and raises the hackles of most people where they are in the Justice system, penal system, or general public! Being a student of human behavior all my life, literally, I find them interesting, but disappointing in that there is never a clear cut REASON why (if anyone ever knows) why there are clubs of pedophiles.? I find that interesting, as I have found in my work and studies, in America, that pedophiles are usually solitary souls, secretive, and not prone to participate in group sexual activity with children. Amazon, you certainly do provide something for everyone. Wish I could find as many books on Chocolate!!Product details

I have read three of this series. I don't normally like stories written by English writers so I am glad I had I had taken a chance.
a excellent book well written and a good fast story the police were very good at in working out the murder good ending
There seems to be a boring trend of writes of police procedure novels to concentrate on the private lives of the police involved, rahter than on the crime and the procedures used to solve it. This is the second DI Quigg novel that I have read and both have disappointed me. In fact I gave up on this one.
The format and banter is very much like the Parish and Richards novels. But they seemed more involved in the police procedures and not as focused on the sex life as he does here with Quigg.
I'll be giving Mr Ellis a wide berth from here on.
